Sticky Chewy Chocolatey Brownies

I was feeling really random and stressed out so I decided to bake some brownies.
These were supposed to be Happy Call Pan brownies but they didn't turn out well after 20 mins..
The bottom was burnt and the top all liquidish, most probably because my small fire wasn't small enough..

Nevertheless, I poured the remaining batter into the greased pan to prevent wastage.
Presenting my Sticky Chewy Chocolatey Brownies!
Delightful snack that's 'oh-so-chewy'!
It took me about 30 minutes to prepare and another 40 minutes to bake.
This was adapted from Brooke's Best Bombshell Brownie

Sticky Chewy Chocolatey Brownies Recipe
Ingredients:

1 cup of melted butter (230g or so)
3 cups white sugar (603g or so)
1 tablespoon vanilla paste [This is richer than Vanilla extract]
4 eggs
163g cake flour
1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder (130g or so) [mine's from PH]
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup dark chocolate chunks
[I used dark couverture chocolate chips from PH but any type of chocolate chips will do too!]

Some margarine for greasing the pan
2 tbsp of icing sugar

7 inch round pan
(There will be excess batter so maybe a 9 inch round pan will more suitable)

Steps:

The ingredients!

Melt the butter, which is slightly lesser than 1 stick of butter in the microwave oven on medium for about 2 minutes. Do not melt it completely.. These 'bits' can be melted without the microwave oven as the mixture is still hot. Mix the melted butter well.

Sift the flour, cocoa powder and salt.

Mix the melted butter, vanilla paste and sugar together.

Add the eggs in, one at a time.
This should be how it looks like after 4 eggs have been added.

Add the cocoa, flour and salt mixture in.
Mix well.
Dump all the chocolate bits in and mix again! (:

Preheat the oven to 175 degrees Celsius.
Grease the pan using the margarine or line it with baking sheet.
Bake the brownie for 40 minutes or till a toothpick comes our clean when poked in the middle.

Cool the brownie! I placed it under the fan for 30 minutes.

Slice the brownies into bite size pieces as it can be quite rich (:
Sieve the icing sugar generously over the brownies!

Hope that you'll enjoy the brownies like I did! ((:

  1. Hi I juz baked this. It calls for so much sugar that I was skeptical & thot I did wrongly. However it turned out really tasty n sticky.. But can I reduce the amount of sugar? It's really scarily much.

    1. If it tastes really good, then the recipe isn't wrong (: most bakes do contain a fair bit of sugar.. I'd suggest maybe cutting down a max of 50g - 80g of sugar (:
