Baked Chocolate Mooncake

Baked Chocolate Mooncakes.. these have been really popular among many bloggers and of course, my hands itched hearing how a delight they can be! I followed the recipe from Ann's blog and baked them... The dough is infused with cocoa powder, making it special and different from the usual traditional baked mooncakes. I made mine with good old white lotus paste. This dough is easy to work with and I had a lot of fun! I really ought to bake more.. but I've just been so tired that baking takes a second stage to sleeping XD 

Nevertheless, I'd rate this bake as a difficulty level 3 out of 5 and it'll take about 2.5 hours in all to bake a batch of these beauties.. depending on how fast or slow you are.. 

Here are the ingredients I used... 

Taobao Loot Batch 2

My second batch of taobao items is here! It thrilled me a lot to have received it on Thursday. 

It packed our dining hall once again! (: It was a merry occasion... except for some senseless comments I received from some... "You're buying too much!", "Again?", "Have space meh..", "Why you spend so much money?" 

BITCH PLEASE. I'm equipping a completely empty house and we're just starting out. Have you tried equipping a completely empty house? Have you even tried buying things at a fraction of what you'd pay in Singapore to stretch your dollar? I doubt so. And it's my money I'm spending. If my hubby isn't making any noise, why should anyone? 

Anyway, I'm happy that I get all my pretty stuff! (: Here's sharing some of the stuff I've gotten in this batch.. 

 Mason jars with extra lids... The lids are like SOOOOOOOOO cute! The seller was nice to have thrown in 3 straws too!

I thought my previous pot organiser was amazing.. (the one on top).. but the one I just received is even more amazing. It's dual (so it's longer) and it's got a prettier white finish.. Now I'm so happy that my baking tins have a happy home! (:

I love how our house is coming together.. though there are still quite a number of items that we're short of... Can't wait for our next shipment that contains our dining table (like FINALLY!), 2 dining chairs, a small ottoman stool and my Children's Day presents! (: I'm SUPER DUPER EXCITED! (:

By the way, in case you're wondering, I used Agent PEEKA to bring in my items from Taobao. They're not the cheapest nor the fastest but I trust them in bringing my items safely from China, repacking it for me, protecting the fragile items, buying the items from the China sellers, doing all the coordination work. 

It gives me great peace knowing that my goods are in good hands. That, is good enough for me. 

Amazon makes me happy!

Shopping makes me very happy. Other than Taobao shopping, I've also been amazon shopping. I'm so hooked to shopping lately! XD But then again, the house is a very legit reason for shopping. It's not easy moving into a bare house and starting out on our own.. So I'm more than happy to shop! Here are some items I got!

My dream kitchen

It's been a couple of weeks since we've moved in and we're gradually, slowly but steadily settling down. Here's sharing a shot of our kitchen taken the night everything went up well! (: 

We're still in the midst of unpacking though most are unpacked.. We're still waiting for more of our taobao and amazon items to arrive.. And soon, we'll be able to have our house-warming! (:

Taobao Loot Batch 1 and Amazon purchases

Previously, I blogged about purchasing items from Taobao for our new place. Taobao is China's online shopping portal and many items are often told for a fraction of the price you'd pay in Singapore. I used agent Peeka to help me order and bring the items in. Here's sharing some of the purchases we made for our new home.. this being batch 1 of 3 batches (: 

This sofa bed is for the study (: Love how there is an ottoman at the other end of the sofa, great for storage! 

This is the red chair we got for our dining hall. Love the quality, which was better than what I thought it would be! (:

Clear glass display/storage for make-up.. Howard's has this for a really big price tag.. this cost only a fraction of what Howard's is charging!
